Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of the Sismik Takip mobile application developed by LIVSTAG Yazılım Organizasyon Yayıncılık Ticaret Ltd. Şti.

Sismik Takip is a mobile application that provides earthquake notifications based on magnitude and distance criteria set by users. User privacy is one of our core design principles, and the application has been developed to process as little data as possible.

Data We Collect

Sismik Takip does not collect users' personal data. The application does not create user accounts, does not include a registration system, and does not request personal information such as name, email address, phone number, or similar details.

If the user grants permission, the application uses the device's location information only on the device to calculate the approximate distance between the earthquake and the user.

Location information is never sent to, stored on, or shared with LIVSTAG servers, third-party services, or any other system.

Provision of Earthquake Data

The earthquake information displayed in the application is based on earthquake data publicly published by the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute.

The mobile application does not send requests directly to Kandilli Observatory systems. Instead, a server operated by LIVSTAG periodically retrieves up-to-date earthquake data, standardizes it, and serves it in an optimized JSON format.

The mobile application uses only this optimized data source. This architecture has been chosen to prevent unnecessary load on public infrastructure, ensure consistency in data format, and support more reliable operation of the application.

Notifications

Users may grant notification permission to the application if they wish.

Notifications are generated according to the magnitude and distance filters set by the user within the application.

Location information used to generate notifications is evaluated only on the device and is not transmitted to the server.

Third-Party Services

As of the initial release, the application does not use advertising services, user analytics services, or third-party systems that track user behavior.

If this changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and, where necessary, the relevant permissions will be requested from users.

Data Security

Sismik Takip has been developed with an architecture that aims to process as little personal data as possible.

Since users' personal information is not stored on our servers, data security risks have been minimized as much as possible.
